Job Title:

Director, Centralized Services

Locations: Kent, WA • Fort Lauderdale, FL • New Orleans, LA
Salary Range: $155,000–$195,000 per year + annual performance bonus
Travel: Up to 50%
Direct Reports: 4–6 (Quality, Safety, Contracts Management, Product & Technical Support roles)


About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, forward-thinking leader to oversee and integrate multiple critical functions within the organization, including Quality, Environmental Health & Safety (QEHS), Contracts Management, and Product & Technical Support. This role offers the opportunity to design and implement systems that drive operational excellence across 20+ U.S. facilities while laying the foundation for future international expansion.


This is a high-impact leadership position for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, embraces complexity, and enjoys creating scalable frameworks that strengthen execution. You will have autonomy to set strategic direction while delegating tactical tasks to subject-matter experts, enabling you to focus on building systems, driving change, and influencing outcomes across departments.


Key Responsibilities

Quality Management (Hands-On Execution)

  • Personally lead and execute the implementation of ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ensuring audit readiness.
  • Establish enterprise-wide quality standards for manufacturing and field service operations.
  • Drive corrective actions, root cause analysis, and systemic improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with operations and SOP stakeholders to institutionalize best practices.

Environmental, Health & Safety (Leadership Oversight)

  • Provide strategic leadership for environmental compliance programs across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Oversee safety programs and collaborate with the Safety Manager to embed safe work practices.
  • Guide execution of field safety audits in power generation, marine, and service environments.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and prioritize remediation of high-risk areas.

Contracts Management

  • Lead the Contracts Management team to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant contract administration.
  • Oversee contract lifecycle processes, including drafting, negotiation, and governance.
  • Partner with legal and operational teams to mitigate risk and maintain contractual integrity.

Product & Technical Support

  • Direct the Product & Technical Support team to deliver exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely resolution of technical issues and provide guidance on complex product challenges.
  • Drive continuous improvement in support processes and customer experience.

Continuous Improvement

  • Establish a structured CI framework grounded in Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Champion a culture of innovation, proactive problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to prioritize initiatives with meaningful operational impact.

Document Control & SOP Governance

  • Manage and enhance the centralized SOP/document control system.
  • Lead governance processes for SOP drafting, approval, and distribution.
  • Drive adoption of standardized processes through clear structure and collaboration.

Leadership & Organizational Growth

  • Serve as a strategic leader who can articulate vision and drive system-level transformation.
  • Mentor and develop team members across all centralized service functions.
  • Align quality, environmental, safety, contracts, and technical support goals with operational performance.

Performance Measurement

  • Define and manage KPIs across all centralized service functions, including: 
    • ISO audit outcomes
    • Defect and error trends
    • Safety incident rates
    • Environmental compliance progress
    • Contract accuracy and turnaround times
    • Technical support resolution metrics
  • Use data to guide decisions and report results to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Safety, Business, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in QEHS or related functions, including 4+ years in leadership roles.
  • Strong background in heavy industrial, marine, power generation, remanufacturing, or field service environments.
  • Proven success implementing ISO 9001.
  • Experience managing contracts and technical support teams preferred.
  • Ability to lead change, build systems, and influence across teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
