Business Development Representative

Description

We are looking for a Business Development Representative to help drive new business pipeline and support our growth. Your role will be to source new opportunities by working with our Channel Sales Advisors, Channel Program Management, and Marketing teams to develop relationships with potential customers.

 

To be successful in this role you should have previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns and meeting sales development targets (booked meetings, created opportunities). Previous experience working with channel partners is a plus, but not required. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with prospective customers, from first contact until you secure discovery meetings. If you are motivated and results-driven, and enjoy working in a team environment, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will boost sales and contribute to our long-term business growth. 


Position Summary:
Actively work alongside the Channel Sales and Marketing team members throughout the sales process by participating in sales development calls and meetings with prospects. 

  • Qualify and convert leads from channel partner campaigns into sales opportunities 
  • Contact potential clients through cold calls, warm calls, emails, and social selling 
  • Present our company to potential clients 
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Channel Sales Advisors 
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services 
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients 
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services  

What it takes to be successful: 

  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales and prospecting techniques (calls, emails, social) 
  • Track record of achieving targets/quotas 
  • Aggressive, competitive attitude – work each week to hit your targets 
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce) 
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high growth, and rapidly changing environment 
  • Experience presenting and engaging with audiences ranging from the End-User to C-Level Executives 
  • Strong interpersonal skills – must be able to effectively relate to, and connect with, customers working in technical and business roles. 
  • Ability to drive results while working from home 

Helpful, but not Required: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or related 
  • Previous experience working in a channel-driven organization
