Controller - Client Opportunity

Our client, BC Supply, LLC in Chambersburg, PA is currently looking to hire a full-time Controller. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team at a leading construction supply company in the tri-state region.

As the Controller you will work directly with the Owner, handling all aspects of the accounting cycle and providing timely financial insights to support operations. You will have the satisfaction of knowing you are making a valuable difference and contributing to the success of the company. 


Key duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Oversee accounting functions including but not limited to A/R, A/P, G/L, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
  • Monitor banking activities and report on cash flow, ensuring sufficient funds are available for operations.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports and statements including monthly P&Ls and ensure adherence to financial close process. 
  • Prepare forecasts and support yearly budget development.
  • File monthly sales tax and quarterly payroll returns. Make estimated income tax payments. 
  • Coordinate with external CPA for tax filings and audits. 
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive general accounting experience including A/R, A/P, G/L, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Construction or supply industry experience a plus.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles.
  • Comfortable with a hands-on role performing all levels of accounting work.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. 
  • Team oriented, efficient, and proactive with solving problems. 
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial data.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • QuickBooks knowledge preferred. 
  • Computer literacy required including proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
