Digital Consultants seeks a Lead Systems Information Engineer to serve as the senior technical authority supporting the IRS M365 Cloud Program Office. This role provides end-to-end engineering leadership across Power Platform, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange Online, AvePoint, and associated Microsoft 365 services. The engineer oversees development, integration, security, data governance, and performance optimization of IRS enterprise cloud services.


Duties to include:

  • Lead administration, architecture, and optimization efforts for the M365 enterprise ecosystem.
  • Design and implement Power Platform environments, pipelines, connectors, and governance models.
  • Integrate Purview for data protection and compliant data lifecycle management.
  • Support Windows Server and SQL cluster activities (2019/2022).
  • Provide architectural guidance on SharePoint Online, SharePoint On-Prem, and AvePoint interfaces.
  • Oversee technical documentation, deliverable quality, and milestone execution.
  • Provide bi-weekly and monthly reporting on schedule, risks, and performance.
  • Serve as senior escalation point for complex M365, Intune, Azure AD, or integration issues.
Requirements
  • Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must pass Minimum Background Investigation prior to start date.
  • Education: HS Diploma
  • Experience: 5+ years’ experience supporting Microsoft 365 in large enterprise environments.
  • Expertise in Power Platform, .NET/C#, PowerShell, SP Admin, Azure AD, and Copilot integrations.
  • Demonstrated experience with enterprise security and cyber architecture.
  • Excellent communication, briefing, and client engagement skills.
  • Certifications: MS Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) or MS 365 Certified Enterprise Administrator Expert is desired. 
  • Physical Requirements: The candidate must, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to sit, stand, use computers and monitors, and perform duties in an office environment for extended periods. The candidate must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion (e.g., moving a case of paper or similar task) that may occur occasionally.
