The Sales Operations Specialist is responsible for managing EMS|MC’s Salesforce platform and providing comprehensive support to the sales and operations teams. This role ensures the effective utilization of Salesforce to drive sales productivity, optimize sales processes, and enhance operational efficiency.
Major Responsibilities/Activities
Salesforce Administration:
- Manage and maintain the Salesforce platform, including user setup, profiles, and roles.
- Customize Salesforce to meet the needs of the sales and operations teams, including creating custom objects, workflows, validation rules, and reports.
- Ensure data integrity and cleanliness within Salesforce by performing regular data audits and cleanup.
- Provide training and support to Salesforce users, ensuring they are proficient in using the system.
Sales Support:
- Assist the sales team with pipeline management, opportunity tracking, and forecasting.
- Develop and generate regular sales reports and dashboards to provide insights into sales performance and trends.
- Support the sales team in preparing sales presentations, proposals, and contracts.
- Coordinate with marketing to ensure alignment between sales and marketing activities.
Operations Support:
- Collaborate with the operations team to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze key operational metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Support the coordination and execution of sales and operations initiatives and projects.
System Integration and Optimization:
- Integrate Salesforce with other business systems and tools to enhance data flow and process automation.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.
- Stay up-to-date with Salesforce releases, new features, and best practices to maximize system utilization.
Required Education, Skills, & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in Salesforce administration and sales/operations support.
- Salesforce Administrator certification is preferred.
- Strong understanding of sales processes and operations.
- Proficient in Salesforce customization and configuration.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in English is necessary for job-related communication, including understanding policies, writing correspondence, and engaging with colleagues or clients.
Preferred Education, Skills, & Experience
- Experience with Salesforce integrations and third-party tools.
- Knowledge of data management and data governance best practices.
- Familiarity with sales and marketing automation tools.
- Project management experience.
Working Environment
- The office environment is a controlled indoor setting with minimal exposure to adverse conditions.
- Noise levels in the office are typically moderate and consistent with a standard office setting.
- For employees approved to work in a hybrid or remote setting, a quiet, private workspace free from significant distractions is required to ensure productivity during work hours.
- A reliable internet connection is required for hybrid/remote work. EMS|MC will provide necessary equipment, including a computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse and headset.
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting: frequent and prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer.
- Communication: frequent and prolonged periods of speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
- Fine motor skills: frequent use of hands for typing and operating a computer mouse.
- Movement: occasional walking and climbing of stairs; limited bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying of office-related items.
- Travel: must be able to travel occasionally to attend required company meetings.

Pay range: $55,000 annually, with final compensation based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and business needs.
