Description

At JEACES, we support communities by providing construction engineering and inspection services that ensure safe, reliable, and high-quality infrastructure. We’re looking for a motivated CEI Inspector Aide to assist our CEI team. 


If you’re eager to gain hands-on field experience, learn from seasoned inspectors, and ensure that construction is completed safely and according to approved plans, this entry-level opportunity could be a great fit for you.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quality assurance assessments by assessing the actual-to-contracted service, materials, and construction.
  • Maintain clear and detailed daily logs of construction and inspection activities. 
  • Inspect, sample, and test materials as directed. 
  • Communicate regularly with JEACES staff using email, phone, and other established channels. 
  • Follow safety procedures and help maintain a safe work environment.
  • Work independently with limited direct supervision. 

Experience & Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Experience: None required - ideal for candidates beginning a career in construction engineering and inspection.
  • Qualifications: May require client-specific credentials such as FDOT Intermediate MOT. 
  • Certifications: FDOT Critical Structures Construction Issues self-study course (bridges) preferred. 
  • Other: Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR.
