The Content Marketing Specialist is an individual contributor role that develops and executes technically accurate content that strengthens brand awareness, customer engagement, and growth across key industrial markets. The role blends strategic marketing and technical writing to produce white papers, application stories, editorial articles, and event-driven content. It works closely with product, sales, engineering, channel and industry partners to ensure content is precise and customer centric. The specialist also represents the company at events, trade shows, and customer meetings to build partnerships and gather insights that shape future content.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Content Strategy & Development
- Lead development of Amphenol TPC’s annual technical content roadmap supporting industrial cable, cable assembly, and custom solution product lines.
- Create content tailored to all components of the customer journey. Value proposition content for top of funnel, positioning and education content for middle of funnel, solutioning and conversion content for bottom of funnel.
- Translate engineering concepts, specifications, and test data into clear, application-driven content that resonates across harsh-environment industries.
- Create and co-author technical assets including white papers, case studies, application notes, engineering briefs, installation content, product guides, blogs, and video scripts.
- Co-create content with industry publications, standards bodies, and technical associations; drive consistency, technical accuracy, and strong industry alignment.
- Support new product launches by documenting design intent, industrial use-cases, compliance standards, and performance differentiators.
Industry Engagement & Thought Leadership
- Build marketing partnerships with industry associations, technical committees, editors, and industrial publications.
- Secure and manage speaking opportunities, contributed articles, interviews, and editorial placements that position ATPC as a thought leader in industrial connectivity.
- Represent ATPC at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings as a technical marketing voice.
- Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive activities to guide content direction.
Customer-Facing Collaboration
- Engage regularly, both in-person and virtually, directly with customers, channel partners, sales, and business development to capture application insights and real-world performance feedback.
- Seek and facilitate direct customer feedback to optimize content development, messaging refinement, product storytelling, and event planning.
- Develop customer-facing technical materials that support sales engineers, distributors, and OEMs in high-demand industrial environments.
Channel Integration & Optimization
- Ensure technical content is optimized for digital channels including website, distributor portals, email, social media, and digital product pages.
- Provide Sales Enablement content tailored to specific industries, applications, and customer challenges.
- Track performance metrics and apply data-driven improvements to expand reach, lead quality, and engagement.
Cross-Functional Partnerships
- Serve as the primary marketing liaison with Engineering, Product Management, R&D, Operations, and Sales.
- Manage cross-functional review workflows for technical validation and compliance.
- Support trade show teams with technical presentations, product demonstrations, and application-focused messaging.
Required
- 5+ years in technical marketing, content development, engineering communications, or applications engineering within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical writing skills with experience producing engineering-focused content and marketing white papers.
- Experience interfacing with customers, sales, distributors, or industry partners.
- Proven ability to simplify electrical & mechanical concepts for a range of technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency with CMS, CRM, and marketing automation tools.
Preferred
- Industrial market experience, ideally in harsh-environment cable, connectors, electrical components, automation, or related heavy-industry segments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Communications, Marketing, or a related field with a demonstrated passion for manufacturing, automation, and technology.
- Experience collaborating with industry associations and creating content for trade publications.
- Familiarity with drawings, product samples, technical diagrams, or visualization tools.
- Past experience with industrial customers, editorial writing, and thought leadership.
Work Environment
- Office-based with routine cross-functional collaboration across teams.
- Collaborate with, support, and participate in projects leveraging both internal and external marketing teams across digital, visual, international, and commerce.
- Regular travel required (approximately 30%) for customer visits, industry events, association meetings, editorial opportunities, and trade shows.
- Travel to and spend time with our customers in manufacturing environments for product observation, testing documentation, or content capture.
