Job Summary:
Fulton County Health Center’s Heart & Vascular Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide high-quality cardiovascular care to patients of all ages. This role collaborates closely with cardiologists and the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care in both office and hospital settings.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage acute and chronic cardiac patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Conduct outpatient clinic visits, inpatient rounding, hospital consults and on-call rotation.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, nursing staff, and other specialists to ensure continuity of care.
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs and imaging studies.
  • Prescribe and manage medications for cardiac and related conditions.
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure compliance with documentation and billing standards.
  • Provide patient education and counseling on treatment plans, disease prevention, and health maintenance.
  • Assist physicians with procedures, minor surgeries, and other interventions as needed.

Requirements
  • Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Current state license and DEA registration, or eligibility to obtain.
  • Preferred experience in cardiology, internal medicine, or acute care; new graduates may be considered depending on practice setting.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records and understanding of documentation and billing standards.
