Position Objective: 

To develop and execute innovative, envelope-pushing projects to push animal rights issues into the media spotlight and online 

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Conceptualize innovative and creative projects—including projects using emerging technologies (i.e. drones, VR, holograms, AI, and whatever comes next) that will engage the public, capture the media’s attention, and go viral on social media 

• Manage all projects with detailed project plans and budgets 

• Coordinate all aspects of creative projects, including thinking through challenges and ambiguity, providing vision and big picture thinking 

• Conduct research, writing, and analysis 

• Collaborate with Communications, Media Relations, Campaigns, and Marketing departments to maximize reach for projects

• Develop content strategies for social media, maximize our reach and optimize messaging 

• Drive results towards realizing projects, action items, and goals 

• Exercise sound judgment and confidentiality at all times? 

• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

• Minimum of five years of marketing and technological projects experience

• Thorough understanding of complex marketing concepts and strategies

• Early adopter of emerging technologies

• Working knowledge of major social media platforms and trends 

• Extensive knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns

• Proven excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

• Proven ability to communicate with a variety of people in a professional and personable manner

• Ability to organize and manage multiple projects

• Proven ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines 

• Professional appearance and adherence to a healthy vegan lifestyle

• Commitment to the objectives of the organization

The salary range for this position is $47,403.20 - $69,305.60 annually. The ultimate salary within this range that will be offered to a qualified candidate will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and the cost of living in the area in which the candidate will live and work.
