Description
Oversee and coordinate duties that advance and support the Helpline Center’s community development activities.
- Assists in the coordination and execution of fund development activities to ensure successful attainment of financial goals of the organization
- Assist with fundraising activities and stewardship including developing and cultivating business and individual giving
- Aid in fundraising projects and events as well as partnerships and grants
- Develop and implement strategies to connect with donors through identifying them plus supporting outreach efforts with existing and prospective donors
- Assist with ongoing communication to donors via social media, email updates, thank you letters, and other correspondence
- Assist Community Development Director in executing fund development campaigns such as the corporate campaign and annual appeal
- Identify and solicit potential donors and sponsors
- Assist in the planning and execution of the Step Forward to Prevent Suicide walks, Spirit of Volunteerism events and Helpline Open golf tournament as well as other fundraising events as they come up
B. Assists in the execution of analytical development and activities in the Development Department
- Manages development systems and software to advance the Helpline Center’s community development
- Manage donor tracking systems and ensure data is up to date and donations are tracked accordingly
- Develop custom thank you letters for each donor and ensure they are sent in a timely manner after CEO signs them
- Mine data for donor trends
- Export financial reports for the Office Manager to ensure donations are all accounted for
- Assist in preparing marketing materials for internal requests from staff who will be manning tabling events or doing agency presentations
- Assist in preparing marketing materials for external requests across South Dakota (pick up at agency office or we mail to them)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a comparable degree
- Experience with administrative or project management desired
- Passion for community and human services necessary
