General duties:
Team member will be the subject matter expert responsible for tasks associated with supporting all processes of the Loan Operations Department.
Essential Functions:
- Inputs all new and modified loan information into the loan accounting system for all commercial, mortgage and consumer loans made by the Bank
- Performs account maintenance on existing loans and transaction corrections to resolve any problems
- Investigates and finds solutions for the prior days’ rejected items
- Works directly with the lenders and clients to process draws and payments
- Works with other financial institutions to process draws, payments, input, and maintenance on participated loans
- Prepares payoff letters and processes loan payoffs
- Reviews all necessary reports to track and fix errors or research specific information.
- Assists customers and branch personnel with questions about loans (mostly payment posting issues). Makes corrections if needed
- Reviews loan billings as necessary, checking for accuracy and errors; makes corrections as necessary and forwards to customer for payment
- Processes all escrow payouts for tax and insurance payments and maintains the escrow database of all loans with escrow. Runs and verifies annual escrow analysis report and notifies customers of escrow shortages or refunds excess escrow balances. Adjusts escrow portion of monthly payment for the following year based upon the analysis
- Tracks, Balances and Reports Commercial Loan fees
- Reviews maintenance done by other Loan Operations Specialists and notes review
- Additional duties as required
- Five or more years of work experience in a banking environment; preferred loan servicing with exposure to commercial and consumer loan products
- Two or more years of experience with Fiserv Premier Loan Accounting software
- Skilled in instructing and guiding team members
- High School diploma or equivalent, some college or BA/BS preferred; history of relevant continued education is highly preferred
- Proficiency with Windows based applications
- Excellent work ethic, high levels of integrity, ability to prioritize and results focused.
