 Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit affordable homeownership affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, partners with families and neighborhood residents to build homes and revitalize communities. Our service area includes the city of Atlanta and the cities and neighborhoods of South Fulton. Atlanta Habitat is seeking a Major Gifts & Project Management Intern to support our mission. 


Position Summary: The Development & Project Management Intern will support key fundraising, grant writing, and operational initiatives across the organization. This role offers hands-on experience in nonprofit development, project management, event coordination, and donor stewardship. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, eager to learn, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities.


 Duties/Responsibilities:

· Attend New Hire Orientation.

· Understand the overall mission of the organization and support the Major Gifts Team.

· Work on designated foundations and project management tasks as assigned.

· Learn to become proficient in internal software systems such as Monday.com, Salesforce and more.

· Prepare drafts of internal newsletters

· Prep agendas for major gift team and special project meetings

· Support the Major Gifts Team as needed.

· Schedule Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday with a maximum of 20hrs a week. 

Requirements

  

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Interest in nonprofit work, fundraising, affordable housing or project management.

· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

· Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.

· Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Monday.com) is a plus but not required.


Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Current college student or bachelor's degree candidate (preferred)


Physical Requirements: 

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
