Description
SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS: The Controller will oversee, with the direction of Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, the following accounting functions for all entities under the umbrella of The Partnership and those we provide services for, where applicable.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPSONSIBILITIES:
- Overall responsibility for month-end close checklist deadlines
- Oversee Accounts Payable
- Invoice, employee reimbursement processing
- Corporate Credit Card processing
- 1099s
- Oversee Accounts Receivable
- Creation and posting of outgoing invoices.
- Deposits
- Prepare and file Sales Tax returns.
- Balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Make needed adjusting entries in general ledger as needed.
- Assist CFAO with monthly financial statement preparation and distribution to leadership.
- Assist CFAO with annual budget uploads and ensure adherence to the budgets throughout the year.
- Lead required annual audits for entities under The Partnership umbrella.
- Assist with continuous review of processes and ways to innovate and educate.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience with accounting software. GP Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
- Strong analytical abilities.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Highly adaptable and can work well with others and within a team, both internally and externally.
- Ability to work under the pressure of tight deadlines.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- MBA or CPA desired but not required.
- 7+ years of experience in the field of accounting with at least 2 of those years in a leadership role.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Significant sitting, standing, talking and hearing. Occasionally required to lift or move objects and materials as required by various projects. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
