SUMMARY:
The Reimbursement Manager is responsible for the people, processes and systems related to the company's accounts receivable. This position manages the day-to-day Reimbursement Department operations which includes obtaining or confirming necessary documentation, timely and accurate billing, collection of accounts receivable for assigned client account(s), reduction of bad debt, and posting of cash receipts while maintaining compliance with all applicable rules and regulations and striving for service excellence and company financial goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Oversees daily activities of the department operations, including staffing, work assignment, production, shipping, and reporting.
2. Responsible for the hiring, training, coaching, development, performance measurement and discipline of department staff within company and department guidelines.
3. Delegates appropriate work and emphasizes the development of next level leaders.
4. Routinely reviews ongoing department performance toward organizational goals. Takes corrective measures as needed.
5. Maintains departmental compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and policies, including but not limited to HIPAA and The Joint Commission guidelines.
6. Escalates and directs department activities during outages , systems issues, staffing shortages and other operational issues. Enacts contingency plans as needed.
7. Participates in company and operations meetings as requested.
8. Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance within established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
9. Maintains a favorable working relationship with other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, efficiency and effectiveness.
10. Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or
suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken.
11. Maintains a qualified staff and performs all necessary supervisory functions to effectively and efficiently manage the personnel and processes assigned.
12. Works with the Director of Risk & Reimbursement to determine standards of performance for department staff. May recommend salary adjustments, transfers, promotions and dismissals.
13. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Risk & Reimbursement.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
1. High school diploma2. One year in an accounts receivable leadership role.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
1. Associate's degree in business management related field2. Two years in a medical/insurance/healthcare accounts receivable leadership role.3. One year DASCO experience
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, typically 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position manages all employees of the department, including hiring, development, performance management and discipline within company and department guidelines.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.The employee is generally required to sit; frequently stands, may climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include both close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
TRAVEL:
Minimal travel is required for this position but occasional out of town and overnight travel may be expected.
