If you love animals, take pride in a clean space, and want to be part of a team that treats every pet like family, we’d love to meet you.
Who We Are
Main Street Veterinary Hospital is proud to be the last privately owned small animal hospital in the Cornelius–Davidson area. For more than 12 years, families have trusted us with their pets, and we take that responsibility to heart. Our boarding team plays a huge role in the care experience, and we’re looking for someone who is ready to make a difference every day.

You’ll spend your days:
- Giving pets the care and attention they need, including feeding, walking, exercising, and bathing
- Keeping kennels, condos, and common spaces clean, sanitized, and smelling fresh
- Monitoring pets for any changes in behavior or health and reporting concerns right away
- Helping with safe handling and restraint as needed
- Preparing pets for check-in and check-out and communicating clearly with their families
- Supporting your team with daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks indoors and outdoors
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, dependable, and ready to pitch in wherever needed
- Calm, confident, and comfortable handling pets with different personalities
- Detail-oriented and serious about cleanliness and safety
- A team player with a positive attitude
- Able to work weekends and some holidays
- Experienced in a boarding or kennel setting (preferred but not required)
What You’ll Need
- Basic understanding of animal behavior and safe handling
- Ability to lift, bend, walk, and stay active throughout the day
- Comfort using cleaning products and equipment
- Strong communication skills, especially when talking with pet parents
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions reliably
Why You’ll Love Working Here
You’ll be part of a supportive, hardworking team that takes pride in caring for pets and each other. Every day brings new faces, new wagging tails, and plenty of moments that remind you why this work matters.
