The Director of FP&A will determine financial strategy, implement performance metrics, and influence alignment of all financial planning and revenue operations. This intersectional role will drive financial effectiveness by establishing planning and forecasting processes and implementing and owning our financial planning systems. This individual will drive operational performance, produce actionable reporting and analysis while documenting and building strong relationships across the leadership team to influence decision making.
This role will be a key asset in the future growth of the company. This individual will be spear-heading Office Practicum’s financial quarterly forecast, annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis, and special projects. They will provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management including preparing board presentations, financial presentations, industry/peer group comparisons, new business opportunities, and other projects. This function acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support ‘optimal’ business decision making.
Essential Functions / Tasks / Duties / Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of management reporting and analysis, including operating expenses, working capital requirements, cash flow analysis and funding requirements.
- Responsible for tracking all elements of ARR (annual recurring revenue), including bookings, price increases, churn, and downsells.
- Collaborate with functional leaders in developing the annual operating plan and quarterly financial forecasts.
- Ensure alignment between corporate goals & timelines and resource/spend plans.
- Provide budget-to-actual variance analyses for flash, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for the Company, as well as at functional and cost center levels.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for debt covenant compliance
- Provide functional/department leaders business partnering support, through financial modeling and pro-forma analyses to support strategic decision making with day-to-day operations and new initiatives.
- Support company business development activities with financial modeling for strategic partnerships, collaboration programs and licensing activities.
- Develop, evolve, and publish regular KPI/metric reporting to track results and identify trends.
- Implement a financial planning and analysis software to automate the processes, where applicable.
- Evaluate current processes, identify best practices, develop plans to reach goals and implement improvements
- Participate in the preparation of board of director and executive presentations.
- Work closely with the accounting team to continuously improve the financial close process and provide support in the expense accrual analysis.
- Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis.
Competencies:
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities.
- Public accounting experience (audit and/or consulting).
- Advanced Excel modeling skills.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
- Demonstrated history of financial modeling with business partner mindset; experience with SaaS preferred.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, cloud planning solutions and other relevant operational applications within the SaaS industry.

Education / Professional Certifications or Licenses:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred.
Experience Requirements:
- A minimum 7 years’ experience in a FP&A role.
- Experience in the SaaS industry.
- Strong understanding of private equity financial structures and reporting requirements.
- Public accounting experience in either audit or transaction services
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with guidelines, policies and procedures and applicable laws.
- Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

- Remote office environment.
- Minimal travel required (5%).
