Role Overview:

GEO Academies is seeking motivated, responsible, and student-centered high school seniors to join our team as GEO Cadets—paid academic tutors who will work directly with younger students in small-group and one-on-one settings. As a GEO Cadet, you will provide instructional support in literacy, helping K–3 students build foundational skills and develop confidence in the classroom.

This role is ideal for high school seniors who are passionate about education, have strong communication skills, and want to gain hands-on experience while making a meaningful impact.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Academic Support: Provide targeted tutoring to students in small-group or individual settings to reinforce classroom learning.
  • Classroom Assistance: Partner with lead teachers to support instructional activities and manage learning materials.
  • Professionalism: Represent GEO with integrity and commitment by maintaining consistent attendance, punctuality, and professional conduct.
  • Student Engagement: Foster positive relationships with students and help create a welcoming, supportive learning environment.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Current high school senior enrolled in a GEO Academy or partner high school.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with guidance.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and a commitment to education.
  • Ability to consistently work 10–20 hours per week during the school day.
  • Must pass required background checks and clearances.
