Christian Brothers Cabinets is looking for an experienced Cabinet Finisher who will play a crucial role in crafting high-quality custom cabinets. Qualified candidates must be able to work individually, and as part of a team, with minimal supervision. Our Cabinet Finishers use a combination of traditional woodworking and state-of-the-art tools to complete orders throughout each week. We are seeking a motivated finisher to perform high quality work. They should be dependable, bear excellent attention to detail and can comfortably work with Christian Brothers Cabinets is part of a family of Highmark Companies. 

Pay: $20 -$25 per hour depending on experience 

Responsibilities: 

•  Perform all stages of wood preparation, including sanding, filling, taping, masking, and surface repair. 
•  Apply stains, paints, sealers, lacquers, and clear coats using brushes, cloths, pads, and spray guns. 
•  Match custom finish samples and follow finishing specifications and color standards. 
•  Ensure smooth, consistent, and defect-free finishes across all cabinet parts. 
• Work Safely, keep shop work areas clean and organized. 
• Sands and scrapes surfaces to prepare cabinet components for finishing. 
• Matches materials for color and grain. 
• Help in other departments within the shop as needed (i.e., edge banding, taping, cleaning, sand sealing).

Qualifications:

• Must be to work on time. 
• Ability to take direction from and follow instructions of leads and management. 
• Must have a valid driver’s license. 
• Ability to understand quality and production standards. 
• Willingness to learn and understand Christian Brothers’ production specifications. 
•  Experience in cabinet finishing, furniture finishing, or professional wood finishing (painting, staining, and sanding). 
•  Knowledge of finishing materials and finishing techniques. 
•  Familiarity with spray gun systems and proper application methods. 
• Must be able to lift 50lbs at a time; help from fellow builders is there when needed. 
• Must be able to stand 100% of your day. 
• Prior carpentry experience, or custom woodworking skills are preferred. 
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and shop drawings is highly preferred.
