Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the development and execution of regression suites and ensure timely execution across multiple Salesforce sandboxes 
  • Lead and mentor a distributed team of test engineers, fostering technical growth, quality ownership, and collaboration across multiple product teams 
  • Define test governance, standards, and automation best practices across functional, integration, API, 508, and performance testing 
  • Promoting and enforcing an automation-first approach to reduce manual configurations and testing within the platform, while increasing coverage 
  • Track and report quality metrics (e.g. defect density, defect escape rate, automation coverage, and test pipeline stability) to program leadership and CMS stakeholders 
  • Partner with Release Management to validate deployments and back promotion processes across Salesforce sandboxes 
  • Work closely with CMS stakeholders to present innovations, communicate code quality improvements, and translate technical progress into business outcomes 
  • Independently developing performance, functional, behavioral, API, and 508 (any as needed) test scripts using applicable tools, create test scenarios and execute tests 
  • Analyzing test results, identifying performance root issues, and writing test reports to recommend improvements to the system 
  • Coordinating with other testers and developers to resolve test problems and ensure customer satisfaction 
  • Attending requirements gathering meetings to better understand business needs, functional and system requirements and ensuring all development meets criteria 
  • Focusing on end-to-end test automation pipeline health and overall quality of the overall program 
  • Producing detailed testing documents, including test plans, test cases, test data, and test scripts to automate and rapidly perform testing iteratively 
  • Developing testing status reporting tools and methods that will allow stakeholders at various levels to quickly assess the system status of their focused area and drill down to get details as needed 
  • Developing high quality automation test engineering best practices, test strategy and principles.  
  • Providing regular and open communication across the program and stakeholders for transparency and awareness of progress and impediments 
  • Driving delivery and continuous improvement by utilizing feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity 


 

Requirements

Required Qualifications: 

  • All candidates must pass public trust clearance through the U.S. Federal Government. This requires candidates to either be U.S. citizens or pass clearance through the Foreign National Government System which will require that candidates have lived within the United States for at least 3 out of the previous 5 years, have a valid and non-expired passport from their country of birth and appropriate VISA/work permit documentation. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field; AND
    10+ years of hands-on testing experience (performance, functional, behavioral, API, 508), including: 5+ years of Salesforce test automation and 4+ years testing data-centric applications OR 
  • In lieu of a degree, 14+ years total professional IT experience with equivalent specialization may be substituted.
  • Experienced creating test data for healthcare datasets such as provider, beneficiary/patient, quality measures and claims data; Experienced testing APIs; Experienced conducting User Acceptance Testing with users, collecting inputs from users, and supporting users with potential workaround. 
  • Strong knowledge and experience in CI/CD practices, Git-based version control, and software development in an agile environment 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 
  • Strong analytical skills and innovative thinking 
  • Demonstrated experience working on large integration systems and leading large-scale, cross-functional testing initiatives from conception through implementation 
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust; residing in the United States 
  • Personnel management experience required 
  • Experience with Copado Robotic Testing or Robot Framework 
  • Experience with Atlassian Jira/Confluence 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Strong experience with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and/or Medicaid CHIP data 

Working Environment:
eSimplicity supports a remote work environment operating within the Eastern time zone so we can work with and respond to our government clients. Expected hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed by manager.


Occasional travel for training and project meetings. It is estimated to be less than 5% per year.
