Description

The Supply Chain Engineer supports EBR Systems by ensuring material supply across all lifecycle phases, from development to sustaining. The role proactively monitors supplier networks to anticipate, prevent, and mitigate sourcing issues, ensuring business continuity and operational efficiency. 


Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:  

  • Own material availability end-to-end—forecast, purchase, and stock every component so production never misses a beat, from NPI through sustainment.
  • Maintain constructive working relationships across the company’s supply chain to drive alignment, continuous improvement, and mutually beneficial (“win-win”) outcomes.
  • Be the risk killer—proactively spot, mitigate, and resolve sourcing threats to keep business continuity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support engineering prototypes, production builds, demonstration product procurement, and other material needs aligned with company objectives.
  • Co-lead supplier selection and qualification—partner with Engineering, Quality, or Operations to onboard suppliers that meet EBR’s standards.
  • Design and execute shipping procedures (domestic & international), including forward stocking locations and dangerous-goods compliance.
  • Lead and deliver strategic supply chain projects.
  • Step up as player-coach—mentor and guide the purchasing and logistics team whenever the mission demands it.
  • Track and analyze BOM, indirect costs, and supply chain metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Drive outside processing logistics and inventory reconciliation at contract manufacturers, ensuring material traceability and accuracy within ERP.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Required Experience:

  • BS or equivalent.
  • 5+ years in medical devices is preferred.
  • NetSuite experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrates humility, drive, and sound judgment.
  • Takes ownership of tasks with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Builder’s mindset — you don’t just identify issues, you architect systems that prevent them.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and schedules. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Willingness and able to travel approximately 25% of the time. Travel may include weekends and overnight stay.
  • Required to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Subject to extended periods of sitting and/or standing, vision to monitor, and moderate noise levels.

Salary Range:
$117,000 - $151,100*

*Base pay is one part of your total compensation. The salary offered will depend on several factors, including, but not limited to your experience, knowledge, skills, location, internal equity, and market alignment. Addition compensation may include bonuses and equity, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
