Join us at DFS as a Process & Project Management Engineer and play a key role in transforming our Madisonville facility. This is your opportunity to lead capital projects, optimize production, and build a culture of reliability and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do:
- Optimize & Innovate: Analyze and standardize manufacturing processes for cooked foods, sauces, and seasoning blends.
- Lead Lean Initiatives: Drive 5S, SMED, and waste elimination to boost throughput and reliability.
- Own Capital Projects: Manage projects up to $5MM—from scoping and design to installation and commissioning.
- Enhance Food Safety: Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, FSMA, and sanitary design principles.
- Collaborate & Influence: Partner with Operations, Quality, R&D, and Finance to deliver measurable improvements.
- Build Capability: Train teams, develop SOPs, and champion structured daily management systems.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related Engineering field.
- 5+ years in food manufacturing or regulated processing environments.
- Proven success with Lean methods and managing capital projects.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate technical decisions into financial impacts.
- Hands-on problem solver with excellent communication and leadership skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with thermal processing, batching, blending, or RTE systems.
- Familiarity with WMS/MES tools and structured daily management systems.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.

Pay Range: $95,000 - $130,000
