SUMMARY: Planning, monitoring, and supervision of staff and services to assure compliance with OMHAS and COA standards, the Ohio Administrative Code, HRSA, and policies/procedures of Valley Health Services. This position also oversees substance use disorder (SUD) and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) programming, provides clinical supervision and training, and spends approximately 50% of time providing direct patient care. Responsible for oversight of Belmont and Warren sites.
SUPERVISOR: Director of Behavioral Health or Designee
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recruitment, training, and daily supervision of Program Managers, Coordinators, and clinical staff for assigned programs/services, including SUD and MAT programs.
- Ensure that services provided yield positive outcomes, are trauma-informed, culturally relevant, and effective in meeting the needs of individuals served.
- Coordinate and communicate with other community agencies to ensure effective inter-agency cooperation.
- Assume responsibility for serving as liaison to various agencies.
- Coordinate and communicate with other clinical supervisors, including participation in administrative meetings.
- Participate in planning and development of new programs to meet service needs and to ensure continued effectiveness in existing services, including SUD and MAT programming.
- Assist in upkeep of the EHR to ensure workflow efficiency and clinical best practices.
- Provide a range of clinical services, including direct patient care for approximately 50% of work time.
- Oversee Belmont and Warren sites, ensuring that duties are carried out in accordance with OMHAS, COA standards, the Ohio Administrative Code, and Axess Family Services (AFS) policies/procedures.
- Assist in grant writing and reporting as assigned.
- Maintain current working knowledge of all AFS policies, COA, OMHAS standards, and relevant regulations for SUD and MAT programs.
- Promote and maintain understanding of Agency Mission and values, and the purpose, goals, and philosophy of AFS.
- Take part in agency meetings such as PQI and Safety Committee as directed.
- Monitor condition of buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure safety and address any concerns promptly.
- Ensure confidentiality of client information and that records are protected and utilized effectively.
- Maintain professional skills through self-assessment, reading, and participation in continuing education activities.
- Comply with all applicable policies and procedures, COA regulations, federal and state requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree - counseling or social work
- Clinical Supervision – Demonstrated experience providing clinical supervision to licensed and unlicensed staff.
- Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Treatment: Prior experience in programming and supervising SUD treatment services and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) programs.
- Leadership: Proven ability to oversee program operations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards and support evidence-based practices.
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Preferred: Strong Organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Unrestricted LPCC-S or LISW-S license to practice in the State of Ohio
- Unrestricted State of Ohio driver’s license
