We’re currently growing our team of Artisans with a Global Regulatory Specialist to be located Remotely. This role is responsible for ensuring all chemical products meet the regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements of each target country. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with a strategic understanding of global regulatory frameworks to accelerate market approvals and maintain full compliance with regional laws.
Duties & Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance and Market Entry
• Research global requirements for chemical registration, labeling, transportation, and import or export.
• Prepare and submit product registration dossiers for agencies such as REACH, TSCA, K-REACH, NICNAS, CLP, and EPA.
• Work with consultants and foreign authorities to secure approvals.
• Track changes in international laws that affect manufacturing, distribution, and use.
• Take ownership of regulatory pathways for new regions and advise leadership on strategic entry plans.
Product Stewardship and Documentation
• Maintain SDS, labels, and technical documents in line with GHS and regional standards.
• Review formulations and ingredients to confirm regional compliance.
• Maintain accurate regulatory records and data systems.
• Oversee poison control and emergency response compliance.
Cross Functional Collaboration
• Partner with R&D, Operations, and Sales to support compliant product development.
• Lead regulatory strategy discussions with cross functional teams and senior leadership.
• Protect sensitive information in regulatory filings in alignment with OSHA, EPA, and CBI requirements.
• Support customers with regulatory requests and provide required documentation.
• Manage relationships with global regulatory consultants.
Continuous Improvement
• Set the direction for long range regulatory systems as we grow internationally.
• Build new processes, templates, and workflows where needed.
• Identify gaps and lead efforts to develop sustainable solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of regulatory compliance experience with international exposure.
• Strong understanding of global chemical regulations including EU REACH, UK REACH, TSCA, Canada DSL, K-REACH, and China MEE Order 12.
• Familiar with workplace safety frameworks including Right to Know, OSHA, and WHMIS.
• Knowledge of DOT, IATA, and IMDG transportation rules, import or export requirements, and tariff coding.
• Experience preparing dossiers, managing registrations, and working with foreign authorities.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Clear communication skills and comfort working across cultures.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting first-time entry into new global markets.
• Fluency in a second language aligned with target regions.
• Familiar with IUCLID, SAP EHS, and digital regulatory systems.
• Experience using SDS authoring platforms.
• Able to translate complex regulations into clear guidance for business decisions.
• AIHA SDS and Label Authoring Professional or interest in pursuing the credential.
• Comfortable building structure in areas where systems are still developing.
Working Conditions / Physical Demands
• Work is performed in a remote office environment with regular computer use.
• Role requires extended periods of sitting, viewing documents, and reviewing technical data.
• Must be able to attend virtual meetings across multiple time zones.
Travel Requirements
• Less than 20% - only as needed for training, off-site meetings, etc.
