Behavioral Health Counselor (LCSW or MFT)
Description

The Behavioral Health Counselor can be either a LCSW or MFT.   The Behavioral Health Counselor will be responsible for evaluating and determining courses of treatment for their assigned clients. they are responsible for:

     

1. To   coordinate all aspects of your clients treatment and provide on going counseling.  

2. Actively  participate in on going program evaluation.

Requirements

1. The   Behavioral Health Counselor must posses a current and active license as an   LCSW or Marriage Family Counselor, to practice counseling in the State  of California  or be a registered LCSW/MFCC intern with the California Board of Behavioral  Science Examiners.

 2. Must demonstrate recent experience in a Behavioral Health and/or agency setting.

 3. Must be aware of the State and Federal regulations regarding confidentiality and   release of Medical and Behavioral Health information.

 4. Must be   aware of current reporting laws concerning sexual, physical or emotional abuse of a minor or adult, and current laws pertaining to therapists.

 5. Must be  able to assess for suicidality and make appropriate referrals per California  State Health and Welfare Institutions Code 5150.
