National Forest Foundation (NFF) is launching a new model for strategic, donor-facing “Showcase Projects” across our three pillars of impact: Wildfire Resilience, Land & Water Restoration, and Recreational Enhancement. Today, the NFF advances forest resiliency, healthy watersheds and wildlife habitat, and recreation for all by working with communities and organizations across the country. Position Function: The Showcase Campaign Manager reports to the Associate Director of Operations and will be responsible for coordinating and advancing these multi-project surge campaigns, helping deliver the support and resources needed bring projects to completion. This role acts as the connective tissue among NFF’s Conservation Programs, Marketing, and Advancement teams—ensuring each showcase project has a clear value proposition, accurate project information, compelling materials, and a disciplined fundraising plan.
This position is ideal for someone who is equal parts strategist, project manager, storyteller, and relationship-builder. This role manages the full lifecycle: clarifying the campaign scope, coordinating stakeholder input, structuring campaign materials, driving internal accountability, and tracking progress.
The Showcase Campaign Manager will simultaneously manage up to 15 showcase campaigns and play a central role in building an organizational culture of cross-team coordination, disciplined execution, and clear communication.
Position Duties and Responsibilities: The Showcase Campaign Manager will:
Campaign Strategy & Architecture
- Lead the cross-departmental coordination of up to 15 showcase projects across NFF’s three pillars of impact.
- Support the selection of showcase projects based on geographic diversity, conservation value, fundraising potential, and program readiness.
- Collaborate with Conservation Programs to define clear scopes of work, impact metrics, timelines, and budget ranges for each campaign.
- Work with Conservation Programs to build compelling internal briefs that clearly articulate the case for support and the strategic rationale for each campaign.
- Develop systems, templates, and frameworks that ensure campaigns are consistent, clear, and scalable across the organization.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Stakeholder Leadership
- Serve as the central point of coordination among Conservation Programs, Marketing, and Advancement for all showcase campaign workstreams.
- Convene and lead regular cross-departmental check-ins to track progress, surface risks, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Ensure Marketing receives timely, accurate project information to develop high-quality campaign materials (slide decks, proposal language, one-pagers, video briefs, imagery needs, etc.).
- Partner with Programs staff to ensure on-the-ground updates, photos, impact data, and reporting needs are captured and delivered on schedule.
- Support Advancement Operations in maintaining data hygiene and tracking campaign fundraising progress in CRM systems.
Project Information & Case Development
- Coordinate with Conservation Programs to collect all required programmatic information—including ecological rationale, project design, partners, timelines, budget, leverage opportunities, and impact stories—to build strong donor-facing cases.
- Coordinate with Marketing to translate technical information into clear, compelling narratives for donors and external audiences.
- Coordinate with Advancement to ensure alignment between conservation outcomes, donor interests, and fundraising opportunities.
- Maintain a centralized repository of campaign assets, updated regularly with program progress, photos, and financials.
Marketing Material Development
- Partner with Marketing produce campaign pitch decks, proposal templates, stewardship materials, and digital assets.
- Ensure consistency with NFF’s brand pillars and messaging frameworks.
- Coordinate production timelines so that materials are delivered on schedule and to a professional standard.
- Review all materials for accuracy, clarity, donor resonance, and strategic flow.
Fundraising Alignment & Accountability
- Work closely with frontline fundraisers to translate each campaign into clear fundraising plans, including prospect lists, timelines, and cultivation/solicitation strategies.
- Track progress toward campaign goals; develop dashboards and progress summaries for Advancement leadership.
- Provide fundraisers with updated information, assets, and talking points to support donor meetings and proposals.
- Hold cross-departmental partners accountable to deadlines and deliverables, with tact and clarity.
- Support proposal development by ensuring fundraisers have correct language and consistent campaign framing.
Stewardship & Long-Term Donor Engagement
- Partner with Advancement and Programs to build stewardship plans for showcase campaign donors, including milestone updates and impact reporting.
- Ensure the organization delivers on donor commitments with accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain continuity between fundraising success and program implementation to preserve long-term donor trust and campaign credibility.
Performance Measurement & Process Improvement
- Track all campaign progress, including dollars raised, donor pipeline, project advancement, and marketing asset completion.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and regular internal reports.
- Analyze effectiveness of campaign strategies, identify gaps, and recommend process improvements.
- Advance a culture of clarity, communication, and continuous improvement across teams.
Education and Qualifications: NFF expects the Showcase Campaign Manager to possess the following educational and experiential qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, fundraising strategy, marketing coordination, nonprofit program management, or related fields.
- Demonstrated success managing complex cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
- Preferred familiarity with conservation, forestry, ecological restoration, or public lands projects.
- Knowledge of brand messaging, campaign architecture, or storytelling frameworks.
- Commitment to NFF’s mission and values.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.

- Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to translate technical project information into compelling narratives.
- Strong strategic thinking skills with an ability to see both the big picture and the operational details.
- Highly organized, disciplined, and comfortable managing numerous parallel workflows.
- Adept at relationship-building and leading through influence rather than positional authority.
- Experience supporting fundraising or marketing teams, especially in conservation, environmental philanthropy, or project-based work.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, project management tools, and cross-team communication platforms.
- Experience developing donor-facing materials (pitch decks, proposals, one-pagers).
- Experience with nonprofit fundraising campaigns, pipeline management, or donor stewardship.
- Background working with government partners or complex project implementation structures.
Location: The location for this position is flexible throughout the lower 48 states. This position is a remote/work-from-home position and requires reliable internet access and a dedicated workspace.
Compensation: NFF offers a competitive compensation and benefits package that reflects our total rewards strategy. The starting salary range for this position is $83,800 to $101,275, with the ability to grow to $118,750 based on performance outcomes over time and assessed annually.
