Branch Manager - Full Time - State Street Office, Watertown, NY
OBJECTIVE: To maintain and oversee all daily branch operations while ensuring required tasks are completed and customer satisfaction is achieved. Assist branch employees in all aspects of their daily tasks as necessary. Utilizes knowledge and experience in exercising discretion and independent judgment in resolving problems and answering questions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consistent and reliable attendance
- Assist, manage and cross train staff
- Accepts and processes loan and mortgage applications
- Opens new accounts: Savings, Checking, CD’s, IRA’s and HSA’s
- Accepts and processes CDAR and ICS accounts
- Closes accounts
- Cross sell Bank products and services
- Sell Gift Cards
- Process matured CD’s
- Process wire transfers
- Balances the branch office
- Balances the branch ATM
- Balances the branch cash vault
- Verifies and processes night drop
- Operates a cash drawer when necessary
- Processes vault transactions
- Provides customer service in person, over the phone and through the Bank’s digital platform
- Completes research
- Community involvement
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Significant tasks that are performed weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually.
- Prepares weekly schedule for the office
- Performs weekly vault audit
- Balances and audits gift cards
- Completes alarm testing
- Processes cash orders to and from the Federal Reserve Bank
- Performs audits of teller cash
- Train staff on new products and procedures
- Process AVS and SSA requests when necessary
- Perform other duties as required or assigned

- Responsible for the oversight of branch equipment i.e. generator, heating & cooling, and office equipment
- On call for after hour issues with alarms, ATM’s and other situations as they arise for all Bank owned premises.
- Attends community functions and meetings to familiarize areas with WSB
Physical Demands: Position requires sedentary to medium physical demands. Employee may exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently or up to 10 lbs of force constantly to move objects. Daily movement includes, but is not limited to holding, grasping, turning or otherwise working with hand or hands.
