POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating learning programs that enhance employee skills, support organizational goals, and strengthen overall performance. This role partners with business leaders, subject-matter experts, to identify learning needs and deliver impactful training solutions. The ideal candidate has instructional design expertise, the ability to manage end-to-end learning initiatives and strong communication. 

Responsibilities 

  • Conduct organizational and role-specific training needs assessments using data, interviews, surveys, and performance metrics. 
  • Partner with leaders to align learning strategies with business objectives and workforce development priorities. 
  • Recommend scalable, innovative learning and development solutions to support employee growth and organizational capability. 
  • Design content using adult learning principles and industry best practices. 
  • Develop course materials, including facilitator guides, participant materials, microlearning, job aids, and digital resources. 
  • Leverage learning technologies (LMS, authoring tools, analytics tools) to create and manage training content. 
  • Ensure training delivery aligns with organizational culture and learning standards. 
  • Holistically manage assigned program(s) - including scoping, scheduling, stakeholder communication, and evaluation. 
  • Coordinate external training resources as needed. 
  • Track participant progress, program completion, and ROI metrics using evaluation frameworks. 
  • Use learning analytics to measure program effectiveness and identify areas for enhancement. 
  • Continuously refine content and delivery based on feedback and performance outcomes. 
  • Stay current with Talent Development trends, technologies, and industry innovations. 
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, or related field  
  • 5+ years of experience in learning & development, instructional design, or talent development roles. 
  • Experience designing and facilitating training for diverse audiences in a corporate environment. 
  • Preferred: Experience in ecommerce (Amazon, agency, brand) 
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities. 
  • Ability to analyze learning data and translate insights into actionable improvements. 
  • Strong Excel skills 
  • Creative problem-solving and ability to innovate within the L&D space. 
Salary Description
$82,000- 111,000 Plus Bonus
