The Sr. Infrastructure Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining, supporting, and optimizing the server and infrastructure environment that powers Specialty Dental Brands’ internal systems and web platforms. This role ensures consistent performance, high availability, and strong security across all environments—both on-premise and in the cloud. 


Essential Responsibilities 

  • Manage, monitor, and maintain server infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Perform system updates, patches, backups, and performance tuning.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues to maintain system uptime and reliability.
  • Support the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of applications and internal tools.
  • Manage user access, permissions, and security configurations.
  • Implement and maintain system monitoring and alerting solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity, redundancy, and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Document system configurations, processes, diagrams, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Collaborate with IT, security, and operations teams to improve infrastructure and align technology solutions with business needs.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in server administration or infrastructure engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, firewalls, routing, VPN).
  • Experience managing backups, storage, and system monitoring tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong familiarity with Active Directory and Entra ID.
  • Experience deploying and supporting server hardware remotely.
