Facilities Engineer
Description

The Facilities Engineer is responsible for preserving the excellent condition and functionality of all Centreville Bank locations throughout Rhode Island and Connecticut. The Facilities Technician collaborates with a team of skilled technicians to ensure our buildings and grounds are clean, safe, efficient, and functional. The home base for this position is in our historic West Warwick, RI location. 

  • Perform daily inspections of both exterior and interior premises of the West Warwick location in accordance with the bank’s opening security procedures. 
  • Collaborate with a team of technicians to complete scheduled and unscheduled work orders. Accurately log all activities in the work order system.  
  • Execute a variety of building maintenance tasks including minor electrical and plumbing repairs, basic HVAC servicing, office systems furniture reconfiguration, carpentry, painting, and minor masonry work. 
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative repairs on building systems to minimize downtime and business disruption. 
  • Provide after-hours emergency support, diagnosing and resolving unexpected system failures. 
  • Oversee and coordinate external contractors for specialized or small-scale projects.
  • Act as a liaison for vendors performing scheduled services and assist trade contractors to complete projects or repairs. 
  • Assist with installation or replacement of equipment, fixtures, and building systems including lighting, motors, and appliances.
  • Participate in event setup, furniture moves, and other operational support functions as required.
  • Maintain organized storage areas and manage inventory.
  • Provide courier service to transport items between locations. 
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail including sealing, weighing, posting, and sorting. 
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Three to five years of facilities/maintenance related experience.
  • Ability to lift/carry fifty pounds, walking, standing, bending, kneeling, work overhead and safely climb a six-foot ladder. 
  • Proficient in the proper and safe use of power tools and manual hand tools 
  • Knowledge of the principles and techniques of basic carpentry, light plumbing, painting, and routine maintenance. 
  • Ability to follow directions, work within a team and independently. 
  • Basic computer skills required. 
  • Ability to work extended hours or overtime if needed.
  • Valid driver’s license.
