Description

Position Summary:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the leadership, ownership and the full-scale management of small to large sponsorship programs within the EEG corporate event world. Senior project managers are expected to own the event experience in total, mentor junior team members, advise, guide and build loyalty with clients and be adept at working independently toward the success of their events.

This position possesses an expert level understanding of sponsor management, including client management, sponsor experience, ancillary vendor management, and contract negotiation. 

The Senior Project Manager takes the lead from transition through execution, working closely with all Departments as a subject matter expert, guide and mentor.

This role is a great opportunity for professionals who enjoy following an event from conception to completion. Be a part of the team that engages sponsors and exhibitors, serves as their point of contact, supports their participation and manages their experience onsite. Project ownership and strong communication/interaction skills crucial. 

Qualified candidate will possess a event-services background in order to oversee all aspects of sponsor management. Ideal candidate will be a marketing professional who is experienced in working with exhibitors and related vendors. However, specific experience managing sponsor or exhibitors is not required, so long as the candidate has background in customer service and basic understanding of the managing the relationship and needs of corporate clientele. Candidate will serve as the primary liaison between sponsors and the tradeshow. Duties to include: contract administration, invoicing and fee collections, logo/collateral collection and fulfillment deliverables timeline management, sponsor registration support and sponsor relations.

This position requires a proactive, outgoing, dynamic and confident individual. Background in sponsorships and tradeshows preferred, but not essential. Most of our tradeshows have between 40 and 200 exhibiting companies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Acting as the primary client liaison, responsible for overseeing all communication with client, sponsor/exhibitor and all third party vendors
  • Planning, developing and executing sponsorship program
  • Serving as sponsor manager for a specific program
  • Developing sponsorship packages on behalf of client, if required
  • Responsible for fulfillment of all sponsorship needs
  • Managing invoicing and payment of all sponsorships
  • Overseeing sponsor program on-site (travel required)
  • Final billing review with client, if required
  • May require 50% of travel

Requirements

 Education and Experience: 

Required:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree
  2. Knowledge of tradeshow industry
  3. Minimum 5+ years of Corporate event management or related sponsor/tradeshow management
  4. Expert level understanding of event management scope and ability to lead planning process.
  5. Minimum of 3-4 years of direct client management. 
  6. Exceptional negotiation and budget management skills. 
  7. Computer skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and similar applications

Preferred:

  1. Minimum 2 – 3 years of customer service experience 
  2. Knowledge of sponsor management and fulfillment or strong customer service background

Required Travel: This position requires travel up to 25%
