SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION:
- On-site position, 40 hours per week.
- Some flexibility in schedule is required to support agency/client needs.
- Salary range $85,000-$90,000/year (salary/exempt).
- Salary based on experience.
- Up to 8% annual bonus potential.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Oversee and support medication administration, including supervising staff, completing CBTAs, and ensuring compliance with agency and state standards.
- Provide medical technique training (g-tube feeding, colostomy care, wound care, etc.) and serve as one of HH's designated Nurse Trainers.
- Conduct nursing assessments, annual health assessments, and develop individualized care plans.
- Manage and update medical records, review medication orders, and coordinate pharmacy documentation.
- Oversee internal medical clinics (primary care, labs, podiatry, vision, psychiatry) and communicate findings with interdisciplinary teams.
- Consult with staff on medical concerns and medication management.
- Participate in intake reviews, care planning meetings, and care transitions from hospitals or short-term facilities.
- Administer TB tests for staff and ensure compliance with testing guidelines for clients.
- Help monitor medication errors and implement corrective action plans.
- Maintain a dependable schedule with occasional evenings/weekends and on-call responsibilities.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Valid Illinois license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Completion of DHS-approved "Nurse Trainer" program, or completion within 60 days of hire.
Experience:
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse to be eligible to participate in Rule 116 training course.
- 1 year of experience working with the intellectual and developmental disability population.
Skill Sets:
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficient and comfortable with technology such as Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, etc.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask and prioritize multiple urgencies as required.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The person in this position may encounter clients exhibiting physical aggression; must be comfortable working in periods of crisis and feel comfortable de-escalating individually or as a team.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively with the entire team to ensure safe and efficient delivery of services while utilizing strong conflict management and team-building skills.
- Must be able to follow Helping Hand procedures during emergency situations and provide safety and security of individuals along with Helping Hand property.
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to assist with clients, access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- The ability to observe details at a close range (within a few feet of the observer).
- Consistently position self to maintain files in cabinets or assist clients or other team members.
- The ability to communicate information and ideas so that others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in all situations.
- This role requires travel between locations and therefore, candidates must possess a valid driver's license, maintain an acceptable driving record, have access to reliable transportation, and provide proof of personal vehicle motor insurance.
