Astor Services is hiring Preschool One to One Aides today! Enjoy working 25 hours a week from Monday through Friday with summers off. Head Start is a federally funded preschool program delivering services to 3 and 4-year old children and their families in core areas of early learning, health, and family well-being.
The One to One Aide is responsible for delivering individual instruction, support, and behavior management of a specific student who has been identified and for 1:1 classroom assistance. Come join our team!
Job Responsibilities:
- Must maintain qualifications in the crisis intervention procedure of the agency, including passing scores in TCI (written) and procedural (physical) examinations.
- Must be physically capable at all times of initiating or assisting in all components of the crisis intervention program of the agency.
- Confers daily with classroom teacher regarding student's daily assignments, academic progress and behavioral objectives.
- Provides academic tutorial assistance to the student as per teacher directives.
- Utilizes teacher's strategies in keeping the student on task.
- Assists in transitioning student from one activity to another.
