Description

Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) is seeking a passionate and dynamic Development Manager to ignite donor engagement by managing donor relations, bring special events to life, inspire and coordinate dedicated volunteers, and strengthen our growing alumni community.  This is a remote position that requires one to live and travel frequently throughout the Pittsburgh PA region and surrounding communities.

Your Role in Transforming Recovery

  • Cultivate individual and corporate donors as well as foundation relationships.
  • Seek and apply for grant funding under the advisement of the supervisor.
  • Develop and manage detailed donor acknowledgment processes and policies for all levels of donors, seeking to automate those processes when appropriate and possible.
  • Manage a structured, systematic, and streamlined program for donation reporting and prospecting.
  • Collaborate with marketing on content and design of desired materials, digital marketing, and branding.
  • Oversee projects, campaigns, timelines and budgets for all special events and fundraising activity.
  • Work closely with supervisors, leadership, executive team, program staff and Board of Directors to execute an annual schedule of events.
  • Manage donor data, reporting and event execution tools.
  • Develop and implement a communication plan to keep Gateway’s network informed and connected.
  • Create and apply logistic procedures to all special event planning and serve as primary liaison with vendors such as venues, speakers, caterers, and printers.
  • Manage and evaluate alumni engagement programs that advance the mission,
  • Seek to improve donor relationships at all levels.
  • Recruit, screen & manage volunteers; align approved candidates with mission-driven roles.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall growth of the organization’s mission.
  • Occasionally work evenings and weekends based on the event and networking schedule.
  • Attend mandatory Gateway Rehab annual training.


Requirements

What We’re Looking For?

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, public relations, nonprofit management, or another related field.
  • Minimum four years of experience in development preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to coordinate large groups of people.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Must be forward-thinking, resourceful. and a strategic partner to leadership.
  • Must have a collaborative approach when working across teams with the ability to be graceful under pressure.
  • Must be able to pay close attention to detail and handle multiple duties.   
  • Understanding of the behavioral health field a plus.
  • Computer literacy required.  MS Office Suite
  • Experience working in CRM databases.
  • Experience with various office equipment required.

Additional Requirements

  • Pass PA Criminal Background Check. 
  • Obtain PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances. 
  • Pass Drug Screen. 
  • 2-Step TB Testing
