Description

Summary: The Regional Business Development Manager (RBDM) is responsible for identifying and closing new business opportunities within regional chains. The RBDM plays a crucial role in driving the growth and expansion of the company by developing and implementing strategic plans to increase annual recurring revenue. This includes conducting market research, analyzing competitor activity, and identifying and closing potential Cozzini customers. 


The RBDM also builds and maintains strong internal relationships, negotiates contracts, and collaborates with internal teams to ensure successful implementation of new accounts. The RBDM must possess excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as a strong understanding of market trends and customer needs.


 Reports to: Vice President of National Accounts & Marketing

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•Achieves or exceeds annual recurring revenue quota through the closing and implementation of new regional chains.

•Executes weekly follow-up communications with all opportunities at 75% or greater in the funnel.

•Executes bi–weekly follow-up communications with all opportunities at 25% to 75% in the funnel.

•Executes a high level of prospecting to target opportunities.

•Maintains a qualified pipeline of 3X the annual quota.

•Coordinates implementation of new regional accounts.

•Maintains all activities and funnel status accurately in Salesforce.com.

•Manage relationships and retention of new accounts.

•Achieves personal competency for Cozzini Bros. knife services, programs, and sales items.

•Maintains personal compliance with Cozzini expense policies.

•Maintains Cozzini provided equipment in good working order.

•Adheres to the various policies outlined in Cozzini’s Employee Handbook and Fleet Safety Program.

•Other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor


Competencies:

•Possesses two to four years of regional business development sales experience.

•Demonstrates clear, effective, and persuasive written and verbal communication skills.

•Demonstrates effective manager-level skills in all Microsoft Office applications.

•Possesses post-secondary education in a business-related discipline (Diploma or Degree preferred.)

•Responds promptly to internal and external requests for service and assistance.

•Meets commitments and is punctual.

•Dresses professionally and in compliance with Cozzini’s dress code policy.

•Treats people with respect and contributes to building a positive team spirit.

•Works ethically and with integrity.

•Requires minimal day-to-day instruction and oversight.

•Demonstrates persistence and overcomes obstacles.

•Completes administrative tasks correctly and on time.

•Exhibits sound and accurate judgment in a timely manner.

•Includes appropriate people in the decision-making process.

•Follows instructions, responds to management direction.


Requirements:

•Have a valid driver’s license.

•Pass a pre-employment background check.

•Pass pre-employment MVR and comply with the requirements of Cozzini’s Fleet Safety Program.

•Must be available for extensive overnight and out-of-town travel.

•Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively, reach, twist, turn, bend, climb and pull.
