Rhode Island State Pre-K Teacher Assistant
Description

 The Pre-K Teacher Assistant supports the Lead Teacher in creating and maintaining a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate early-learning environment for Pre-K children (ages 4–5). This role involves assisting with classroom management, implementation of curriculum, supervision of children, communication with families, and adherence to state early-childhood standards and licensing requirements. 

Requirements

 

 Minimum requirements :

  • A RIDE-approved Teacher Assistant Training Program certificate, plus a minimum of 9 college credit hours relevant to early childhood education.
     
  • Or at least 12 college credit hours relevant to early childhood education.
     
  • Or a valid Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential plus at least 9 college credit hours in early childhood education.
