This is a International Corporate Contract Position - all applicant must be located outside of the United States
Primary Goal: Reporting to our Director of Engineering, the Senior Software Engineer is responsible for developing and integrating core technical aspects of our platform. This position is part of our Portal Team, responsible for our web portal and different service lines integrated into it, including our call center platform. The Senior Software Engineer works closely with the Internal Development Team to build and modify features that support the growth and enhancement of our technology, with a focus on stable scalability. This position also supports new product development by exploring ways to innovate in areas of product and service delivery
Responsibilities:
- Reduce Production Incidents – Resolve bugs, implement proactive monitoring, strengthen automated testing, and ensure platform reliability.
- Improve Scalability – Design high-availability services, influence architecture, manage technical debt, and adopt tools that support sustainable growth.
- Enhance Customer Experience – Deliver new features, improve usability and accessibility, and collaborate with Product/Design to align with user needs.
- Elevate Engineering Practices – Mentor teammates, promote best practices in code quality, CI/CD, and documentation.
- Collaboration & Leadership – Partner across teams, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and take initiative on complex technical projects.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement – Explore emerging technologies, propose automation opportunities, and contribute to long-term technical strategy.
Required Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
- 3+ years of experience of frontend software development
- 3+ years of experience of backend software development
- Experience with the below tech stack is required: Ruby on Rails (or equivalent MVC), PostgreSQL, React (or similar), AWS/cloud
- Experience with the below tech stack is preferred: Twilio, RabbitMQ, Redis, ElasticSearch
- Experience developing reactive web applications
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing
- Experience with Google Docs and Apple/Mac Operating System preferred
