General Job Summary
The Financial Planning & Analysis Associate (FP&A) assists the Finance Manager, VP in all FP&A activities of the Bank including working with the supervisor and business unit accountants in annual budget preparation, quarterly and periodic forecasts, and management financial reports (monthly, quarterly, & yearly). Assists in the maintenance of the Bank’s FRP system and financial database, which include maintaining and updating existing reports and templates, creating new reports and templates at the direction of the Finance Manager, VP, and data entry/validation. Assists in the creation of ad-hoc financial analyzes, product profitability analyzes, regression analyzes, and Model Risk Monitoring.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Lead period-end financial reporting variance analysis and report findings to Finance Manager.
- Lead the collection & maintains database of operating metrics and business drivers through data entry and automation.
- Sourcing of calculations for metric reporting, data analysis, and help identify areas of inefficiency.
- Work with Finance Manager on both short-term and long-term projects and initiatives.
- Assist the Finance Manager and Accounting Team in all aspects of the annual budget, quarterly and periodic forecasts, and scenario analyzes.
- Work with Finance Manager and accounting team to create reporting automations for financial and regulatory reports.
- Assist Business Unit Leaders with FP&A requests and research.
- Work alongside of the Finance Manager as an administrator of the Bank’s FRP system to support end-users & system operators both inside and outside the accounting area.
- Assist in the monitoring and financial reviews of the Bank’s Vendors & Correspondents.
- Assist in integrating operational data sources with our FRP using internal resources and external support.
- Assist in the monitoring, review, and creation of the Bank’s financial and statistical models in accordance with the Bank’s Model Risk Management Policy.
- Ability to work independently in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
- Assist finance manager in he communication and organization of planning and strategic initiatives.

- Other duties may include Project work for Accounting, Finance, and Operations functions.
Education, Training and Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or mathematics preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years Accounting, Finance or Credit Analysis experience in a Bank or Financial Services company preferred.
- Current or in Process Professional Certifications a plus: CMA.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI, etc)
- Excellent organizational, time management & analytical skills
- General knowledge of management reporting, financial reporting, & Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- General knowledge of GAAP
- Ability to work with others to ensure accurate completion of special projects & assignments.
- Self-motivated, ability to transition seamlessly between working independently and with various teams throughout the organization.
- General knowledge of relational databases and data warehousing (SQL, Python & OLAP knowledge a plus)
- Experience system integrations & data analysis between business & finance operations a huge plus.
- General knowledge of regulatory reporting a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working Environment
Primary working environment is within an indoor climate-controlled office space and/or a private home office or some combination which will be at managements sole discretion. Employee may be subject to florescent lighting, dust, and other normal indoor allergens. Employee may work in close proximity of coworkers and occasionally independently in quiet environments.

The salary range for this role takes into consideration a wide range of factors including but not limited to the duties of the role, experience, location, and certificates and/or education. The target salary range for this position is between $100,000 - $120,000 per year.
