The Lead Solution Architect will lead the design of compelling, customer-focused solutions in support of strategic technology concepts, proposals and capture efforts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, can see the bigger picture when requirements are undefined, and is skilled at putting the puzzle pieces together to articulate a clear, differentiated vision. You will be empowered to lead the development of enterprise solutions throughout the opportunity lifecycle, from identification through proposal submission and into knowledge transition following award. The role will work alongside a capture team to collaborate on win, teaming, and solution strategy, with assistance from our program teams and executive leaders.
- Own and drive the development of technical solution strategies for large scale or complex pursuits.
- Independently facilitate solution sessions with business leaders, SMEs, and technology teams, while resolving architectural conflicts and driving alignment.
- Engage with customers, capture managers, and executives to refine requirements and influence acquisition strategy through thought leadership and deep domain expertise. .
- Mentor and guide junior architects, engineers, and proposal contributors.
- Establish solution standards, reusable architectures, and best practices.
- Serve as the senior technical advisor to capture and executive leadership on solution viability, risk, and tradeoffs
- Represent Commence in technical discussions with partners, agencies, and strategic vendors
- Translate sometimes ambiguous or undefined problem statements into actionable solution frameworks and architectures.
- Coordinate across diverse internal technology skillsets (cloud, AI/ML, data, cyber, case management, etc.) to bring together the best-fit solution.
- Develop solution narratives, white papers, graphics, and presentations that communicate strategy and value to executive leadership and proposal evaluators.
- Stay ahead of industry and technology trends, incorporating emerging tools, platforms, and methods into solution designs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Management, or related or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in a Solutions Architect role for US Federal Government Contracting companies supporting bids and proposals
- Background in enterprise solutions for Federal agencies with a history of leading solution strategy for large or multi year pursuits.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and defend technical decisions.
- US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, if necessary.
Desired Skills:
- Experience defining modernization roadmaps or transformation strategies
- Experience reviewing and elevating solution work produced by other architects
- Understanding of workflow and process automations
- Related technology certifications
- Prior experience working with government agency requirements (e.g., CMS, HHS VA, DoD)
- Knowledge of healthcare delivery systems and policy frameworks
