PromptCare is seeking a Business Intelligence and Reporting Analyst to join our dynamic data team. This role will play a key part in supporting company-wide decision-making through reporting, dashboard development, and BI platform administration. Under the guidance of the Senior Analytics Engineer, the Business Intelligence and Reporting Analyst will be responsible for maintaining Tableau Cloud, fulfilling ad-hoc data requests, and supporting our dbt data models. The ideal candidate will ensure our BI environment is reliable, well-documented, and optimized for business users.
Reports to: Senior Analytics Engineer
Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Location: Hybrid out of New Providence, NJ or Lenexa, KS ( open to remote as well)
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 2–4 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or BI administration
• Advanced proficiency in Tableau (dashboard development, calculations, data source management); Tableau Administrator experience is a strong plus
• Strong SQL skills for querying, data analysis, and implementing updates to existing data models
• Experience with modern data stack tools such as dbt, Snowflake, or similar platforms; hands-on experience maintaining dbt models is preferred
• Familiarity with data modeling concepts (star schema, dimensional modeling) and experience implementing changes to existing models
• Service-oriented mindset with a focus on user support and platform reliability
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with team members
• Proactive problem-solving mindset and a drive to continuously improve data processes and systems
Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to:
Tableau Reporting & Analysis:
• Develop, maintain, and optimize Tableau dashboards and reports to meet business needs
• Fulfill ad-hoc data requests and provide analytical support to business stakeholders
• Train and support business users on Tableau best practices and self-service analytics
BI Platform Administration:
• Administer Tableau Cloud: manage users, permissions, groups, and data source connections
• Monitor and maintain data refreshes, subscriptions, and alerts
• Ensure platform performance, security, and adherence to best practices
Data Model Maintenance & Support:
• Under the guidance of the Senior Analytics Engineer, implement well-defined updates to dbt models (e.g., adding fields, creating CTEs, maintaining crosswalk mappings)
• Support data quality checks and validation within existing transformation pipelines
• Document data models, reporting logic, and platform processes
Collaboration & Documentation:
• Work closely with the Senior Analytics Engineer to align reporting needs with data model enhancements
• Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights
• Create and maintain documentation for reports, dashboards, and administrative procedures
