This position will be located in Clearwater and supporting our 5 locations all under Recycling Services of Florida. Since 1976, Recycling Services of Florida has been a pioneer in reducing waste streams and building a more sustainable future. What started as a family vision has grown into a comprehensive recycling and waste solutions provider serving businesses across Florida—and we're looking for a Junior Accountant to grow with us.


Position Summary:

This Junior Accountant position supports consolidated accounting operations for Recycling Services of Florida across multiple locations statewide. You will maintain and reconcile inventory records, prepare weekly performance reports and financial metrics, analyze cost trends and variances, execute accounts payable/receivable and general ledger functions, and support month-end close procedures and special projects. This role provides valuable exposure to multi-location accounting operations within a geographically diverse service organization spanning the recycling and waste management sectors.


Working directly with our leadership team, you'll develop a strong foundation in accounting principles while contributing to the financial operations of a company with nearly five decades of industry expertise.   Responsibilities of the Jr. Accountant:

  • Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for review
  • Record journal entries
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures and reporting 
  • Support sales operations including dispatch and trailer ticket management 
  • Aid accounts payable and reconcile invoices
  • Work with scale operator to ensure accuracy

Requirements
  •  BS/BA in Accounting or related field
  • Working knowledge of accounting systems and MS Office products.
  • 1-2 years of work experience
  • Fresh graduates with strong academic performance encouraged to apply

Salary Description
$48,000 to $55,000
