General Job Summary


The Investor Reporting and Accounting Senior Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing systemic (system of record being ICE/BK MSP) resources for accuracy and integrity of data. Overseeing solution delivery relating to the reporting and remitting functions for GSEs (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae), the Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB), and private investors. The role supports all functions and processes performed by the reporting and remitting staff. 


Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Ensuring compliance with investor guidelines and agreements. 
  • Manage daily operations of investor remittance, reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Analyzing financial data, identifying discrepancies between internal records and investor reporting data, and resolving any reporting errors or exceptions. 
  • Creating and maintaining reconciliation reports and conducting research to clear outstanding items caused by systemic and reporting issues. 
  • Support internal and external audits including investor, client, financial, regulatory, and compliance reviews.
  • Maintaining and updating reporting systems and databases to enhance data accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage controls in MSP over remitting and reporting.
  • Develop and improve processes for recurring reconciling items.
  • Support the reporting and accounting staff with ad-hoc requests as needed with the servicing system.

Other Job Functions

  • Follow and enforce all University Bank policies and procedures.
  • Represent MLS at conferences and industry events as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with corporate standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by executive leadership.
Requirements

Education, Training and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business-related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in mortgage banking and investor reporting required.
  • 3+ years of ICE/BK MSP and ICE products experience preferred.
  • Prior experience with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Ginnie Mae preferred.

  • Ability to maintain and manage confidential information.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.

Working Environment

Primary working environment is within an indoor climate-controlled office space and/or a private home office or some combination which will be at managements sole discretion. Employee may be subject to florescent lighting, dust, and other normal indoor allergens. Employee may work in close proximity of coworkers and occasionally independently in quiet environments.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Extended periods of sitting (at computer desk).
  • Complete repetitive tasks (including operation of computer mouse/keyboard).

The salary range for this role takes into consideration a wide range of factors including but not limited to the duties of the role, experience, location, and certificates and/or education. The target salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $100,000.
