Indiana Care Network is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. The MA will assist healthcare professionals in providing exceptional patient care by performing administrative and clinical tasks. You will play a key role in supporting patient care management, maintaining smooth clinic operations, and fostering a positive experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare providers with patient exams, procedures, and treatments.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical history, and health concerns.
• Prepare examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked.
• Perform administrative duties including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and processing insurance forms.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
• Perform basic laboratory tests, such as drawing blood, collecting specimens, and performing EKGs.
• Educate patients on medication usage, lifestyle changes, and preventive healthcare measures.
• Handle medical instruments and assist during minor surgeries or procedures.
• Ensure proper handling and maintenance of medical records and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and infection control standards throughout the clinic.

Qualifications:

• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a clinical setting (preferred).
• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and healthcare administration.
• Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
