Position Purpose: The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing Creature Comforts Brewing Company’s growth in South Carolina. This role will equip distributor partners with the necessary resources to expand the CCBC portfolio at retail, support in the management of inventory at the distributor, ensure marketing plans and objectives are effectively implemented, and support market specialists. 


Duties and Responsibilities  


1. Budget, Inventory, and Growth Management: 

  • Oversee and manage CCBC’s budgets to ensure financial targets are met. 
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet market demand and minimize out-of-stock situations. 
  • Execute growth strategies to expand CCBC’s market presence in South Carolina. 
  • Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. 
  • Maintain presence with retailers through quality visits to the market 

2. Distributor Partner Support: 

  • Equip distributor partners with the tools and resources needed to grow the CCBC portfolio at retail. 
  • Provide training and education to distributor partners on CCBC products and sales strategies. 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributor partners to ensure alignment and collaboration. 
  • Monitor distributor performance and provide feedback to improve sales effectiveness. 

3. Marketing Plan Implementation: 

  • Ensure marketing plans and objectives are effectively brought to life within the footprint. 
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional activities and campaigns. 
  • Track the performance of marketing initiatives and provide insights for improvement. 
  • Ensure brand consistency and adherence to marketing guidelines in all sales activities. 

4. Specialist Support: 

  • Provide guidance and support to market specialists to ensure sales targets are achieved. 
  • Assist specialists in developing and executing sales strategies and initiatives. 
  • Conduct regular market visits to provide on-the-ground support and feedback. 
  • Foster a collaborative and motivating environment for specialists to thrive. 
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in sales management, preferably in the beverage industry. 
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving market growth. 
  • Valid Driver’s License for the state where work is performed and clean driving record 
  • Strong understanding of sales strategies and distributor management. 
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to travel as required to support market activities. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and sales management software. 
  • Passion for the craft beer industry and a deep appreciation for the Creature Comforts Brewing Company brand.

The role involves frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and reaching overhead and forward. Manual dexterity for handling tools and assembling displays is essential. Representatives must drive for extended periods, load and unload vehicles with items up to 165lbs, and work in various environments, including outdoor settings. Adequate visual and auditory capabilities are required for reading labels, using sales software, and effective communication.
