Boater’s World Marine Centers is seeking an Administrative Specialist to support the back-office operations at our Lake Placid dealership. This role focuses heavily on data entry, document processing, scanning, and general administrative support. It is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, dependable, and looking to build experience in an office environment
Key Responsibilities
Data Entry & System Management
- Enter customer information, consignment agreements, and unit data into the Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Review documents for accuracy before entering information into the system.
- Update and maintain electronic records with a high level of accuracy.
Document Processing & Filing
- Scan, upload, and organize deal folders, service paperwork, and consignment documents.
- Audit completed deal jackets to ensure all required documents are present.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems for quick and easy retrieval.
Back-Office Administrative Support
- Assist the Business Office with routine paperwork, document collection, and data verification.
- Support Sales, Service, and Consignment teams by processing paperwork promptly and accurately.
- Help track missing documents, signatures, and supporting materials.
Customer & Front Desk Support (Light)
- Answer phones and assist customers with basic questions when needed.
- Help route customer inquiries to the correct department.
Other Duties as Assigned
- Assist with basic reporting, office organization, and administrative tasks.
- Support the management team with project-based tasks as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
- 1+ year of general office, administrative, or data entry experience preferred (not required).
- Experience in a dealership environment (marine, automotive, RV, powersports) is a plus but not necessary.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document handling.
- Comfortable completing routine, structured tasks consistently.
- Proficient with computers, scanners, and basic office software.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow processes.
- Professional communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
