In addition to our core lending activities, Reinvestment Fund manages several initiatives with the support of local or national foundations, and state, local and federal public agencies and governments. These initiatives offer a range of capacity investments, technical assistance, and grants to a portfolio of recipients in sectors including early childhood, equitable food systems, and Historically Black College and Universities (HBCUs). 


ABOUT THE POSITION:
Reinvestment Fund is seeking a Program Impact Data Manager to lead the framework and processes for collection, analysis, and reporting of quantitative and qualitative data related to Reinvestment Fund’s Programs. Reporting to the Senior Program Operations Manager, this individual will be involved in the design of new initiatives within the department and collect data in the subsequent stages of initiatives, as well as collaborating well with data team staff from other departments to develop methods that capture the collective impact of Reinvestment Fund. 


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Within the Programs department, manage impact needs, processes, and methodology: 

  • Lead processes to identify key output, outcome, and impact metrics, including to assess RF’s impact performance and support its mission of providing responsive, community-informed programs with a commitment to racial equity. 
  • Own the design, implementation, maintenance, and accuracy of impact data frameworks, systems, and procedures. 
  • Participate in program development, technology improvement, and other strategic initiatives to understand impact data needs and contribute to process optimization. 
  • Contribute to interdepartmental collaborations to develop and improve impact data collection, analysis, visualization, and reporting processes. 
  • Contribute to industry and sector knowledge by attending industry events and developing strong working relationships with partners and peers. 

Analyze and synthesize program, project, and impact data and generate key insights: 

  • In partnership with internal teams, develop key performance indicators, design workflows and processes to collect data, analyze results, generate informative dashboards and compelling presentations of relevant findings. 
  • Develop and administer surveys and other tools to evaluate RF’s programs and services to support program development and improvement. Collaborate with program teams to design and administer feedback loops to incorporate community voice and participant feedback into program improvement and implementation. 
  • Support program design and fundraising activities by analyzing impact data and contributing to application narratives, reports, and evaluations. 
  • Develop slide decks and presentations with actionable insights to support external communication of impact data to further RF’s mission. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.  Advanced degree a plus. 
  • At least five years relevant experience working in analytics, research, and/or nonprofit management with a focus on impact. 
  • Proven experience gathering requirements from stakeholders and translating business needs into scalable and effective data architecture designs.
  • Direct experience identifying key project impact metrics, defining evaluation questions and methodologies, and designing data collection tools and processes to ensure accurate, meaningful, and actionable measurement of project performance and outcomes.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to synthesize information into meaningful conclusions. 
  • Demonstrated interest in and understanding of community development and commitment to social change. 
  • Strong project management skills, including organization, time management, defining and setting priorities, and problem-solving. 
  • Demonstrated interest in or familiarity with one or more of Reinvestment Fund’s program areas including real estate development, economic development, community development, food systems, sustainability, public health, affordable housing, child development, or education. 
  • Ability to prioritize work across multiple projects for different internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis. Experience with survey design and administration (especially through Qualtrics XM).
  • Experience with quantitative data processing and analysis using SQL (especially Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Experience with geospatial data analysis (especially ESRI ArcGIS Online) a plus. 
  • Familiarity with impact measurement frameworks such as IRIS+, the UN Sustainable Development Goals (“SDGs”), and Environmental, Social, and Governance (“ESG”) criteria a plus. 


WORK LOCATION:

For this position, we will consider remote employees within the Eastern Time Zone, with a preference towards candidates in the Philadelphia, PA area to allow for occasional team-based face-to-face interactions.  If a remote employee is ultimately selected for the position, travel will be occasionally required to our Philadelphia headquarters for staff meetings.


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Reinvestment Fund offers a competitive salary based on experience and skills, as well as an excellent benefits package including employer-paid health, disability, and life insurance, 401(k) savings plan with employer match, flexible spending accounts (medical, dependent care and transportation), tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and EAP program.


The salary range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $80,000 and $100,000/year, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.


If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
