Description

Floyd|Snider is looking to add an IT Desktop Support Tech to our collaborative team. We’re looking for someone who exemplifies our commitment to technical excellence, environmental responsibility, and customer service.


Your primary role will be to provide desktop support to staff and support the IT manager with a variety of IT-related tasks. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and interest in problem-solving and sharing workflow improvement opportunities with Floyd|Snider staff.


Here’s our list of must haves:

  • 1 – 2 years of professional experience with desktop support customer service in a corporate setting
  • Experience working with Microsoft 365 and apps (Office, SharePoint)
  • Successful in a collaborative work environment and able to work effectively with oversight and support from the IT Manager
  • Ability to manage workload, self-motivate, and fill project gaps when needed
  • Excellent people skills, including patience and responsiveness

Pay and Benefits


This is a hourly, full-time (32 – 40 hours per week), permanent position. Candidates with 1 - 2 years of experience will earn between $32 - $35 per hour. We offer quarterly merit-based bonus opportunities, equity and ownership options, 401K, medical insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, long-term disability insurance, life insurance, and a transportation stipend. We also offer 11 paid holidays and 20 days paid time off per year.


Floyd|Snider provides employees with a flexible work schedule that includes core hours from 9am – 4pm Monday through Friday. This position will be required to work on site 3 - 4 days per week. Project work may require you to work more than your standard billable work week, but Floyd|Snider provides extra time off to recognize this effort.


The Details


The right candidate will have a mix of the following skills or experience:

  • Certificate in IT support, or CompTIA certification in A+, Network+, or Security+
  • Familiarity with SQL server or similar relational databases
  • Familiarity with Tableau, Python, R, and VBA
  • Experience with confidence intervals and hypothesis testing through statistical analysis
  • Experience with SharePoint online page design

Beyond your relevant experience, we’re looking for someone with the following qualities:

  • Communication – you're able to explain technical concepts in an easy-to-understand way and ensure that IT issues and solutions are clearly documented.
  • Attention to detail – you’re able to accurately diagnose issues, follow procedures, maintain clear documentation, and ensure configurations are completed correctly.
  • Problem Solving – you can assess technical issues, identify root causes, determine effective solutions, and implement fixes that restore functionality.

You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with our IT Manager, and to support most staff. Most of your day-to-day work will include providing desktop support for staff with their workstations and peripherals, Microsoft 365 apps, other software apps, and applying maintenance patches.

Salary Description
