Job Summary:

We are looking for a Parts Runner to join our team in Detroit, MI. This entry-level role will focus on maintaining a clean and organized shop environment, running parts, and assisting with daily operational tasks. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Attention to detail is key to this position, as the successful candidate will help ensure smooth operations by supporting shop organization and maintaining an efficient workflow. A chauffeur's license is required for parts running. 


Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Assist with cleaning and organizing the shop to maintain a tidy and safe work environment. 
  • Run parts to and from suppliers, vendors, and other locations as needed, operating company vehicles. 
  • Help with the organization of inventory, ensuring that parts and tools are stored in their proper places. 
  • Maintain an organized and accurate system for storing and tracking parts. 
  • Support the Assistant Shop Manager and Shop Manager with various operational tasks to improve shop efficiency. 
  • Help with the movement of materials and tools throughout the shop to support other team members. 
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude, contributing to a collaborative work environment. 
  • Ensure attention to detail when handling parts, tools, and materials to avoid errors. 

 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Compensation starts at $18/hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Attention to detail to ensure that parts and materials are handled accurately and stored in the correct locations. 
  • Strong organizational skills to assist with shop cleanliness and efficient workflow. 
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors. 
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the desire to contribute to the success of the team. 
  • Previous experience in a shop, warehouse, or hands-on environment is a plus but not required. 
  • Ability to lift and carry parts and materials (up to 50 pounds). 
  • Valid chauffeur's license is required to operate company vehicles for parts running.
