The Role You’ll Play – Development Liaison

The Development Liaison provides essential administrative and project support to Pawnee Mental Health’s Marketing & Development Department. This role supports grant development activities, donor stewardship, fundraising efforts, and overall departmental operations.


While strategy and fundraising initiatives are led by the Development Manager and Director, the Development Liaison helps keep everything running smoothly through coordination, organization, research, documentation, and relationship support.


This position is primarily office-based, with occasional local travel for meetings, donor visits, and community events. From time to time, evening or weekend hours may be required to support fundraising activities, events, or deadlines.


What You’ll Do

Grant Support (Approximately 40%)

  • Assist with researching grant opportunities and preparing supporting materials, including organizational backgrounds, program descriptions, and required attachments
     
  • Maintain the grants calendar and organized digital files, tracking deadlines, submissions, awards, and reporting requirements
     
  • Coordinate data, documents, and financial or program information needed for proposals and reports
     
  • Support post-award tracking and documentation to ensure accurate records and timely reporting
     


Fundraising, Donor Relations & Administrative Support (Approximately 60%)

  • Support donor stewardship efforts, including acknowledgements, thank-you letters, mailings, and impact communications
     
  • Assist with fundraising activities and events, including preparation, coordination, and follow-up
     
  • Maintain accurate donor and grant records in the CRM system and conduct basic donor or prospect research
     
  • Provide administrative and coordination support to the Marketing & Development team, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and taking notes
     
  • Assist with community outreach and donation requests under the guidance of department leadership and collaborate on additional initiatives as assigned

Requirements

  Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Communications, Nonprofit Management, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
  • 1–2 years of administrative, nonprofit, or development-related experience.
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with CRM, donor databases, or spreadsheet tools preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
  • Commitment to Pawnee Mental Health’s mission and professionalism.

Salary Description
$20.00/hour
