Description
The Food Server is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service by accurately taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a positive dining experience. This role also requires accuracy in processing cash, credit card, and room charge transactions while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
- Greet guests promptly, warmly, and courteously.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and provide knowledgeable recommendations when needed.
- Deliver orders in a timely manner and check back to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond to requests efficiently.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the menus, including daily specials and preparation methods.
- Serve food and beverages according to company standards for presentation and timing.
- Monitor tables to ensure guests have everything they need throughout their dining experience.
- Clear and reset tables quickly to maintain a smooth flow of service.
- Process cash, credit card, and room charge payments accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
- Handle all transactions with integrity. If applicable, ensure proper balancing of cash drawers and reconciliation at the end of shift.
- Follow all financial procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, service stations, and workspaces.
- Complete pre- and post-shift responsibilities including stocking, cleaning, mopping floors, cleaning service areas.
- Assist teammates by restocking, bussing, or supporting service flow when needed.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar, and management staff to ensure seamless operations.
- Follow all sanitation and safety guidelines.
- Report any maintenance issues or damaged equipment.
- Maintain professionalism with coworkers and guests.?

Requirements
Requirements:
- Food handler’s permit required
- Prior experience as a server in a restaurant, café, or hotel environment preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability and willingness to work a varied and flexible schedule including weekends, days, nights, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Must tolerate prolonged periods of standing, walking; occasional kneeling, bending, and stooping.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds as needed to carry trays of food.
- Must tolerate exposure to cleaning solutions.
