Description

Island Hospitality Management is now hiring and IT Intern to work directly with the IT team to assist in identifying, assessing, and resolving cybersecurity threats and incidents, while also contributing to help desk support and user risk management.  The ideal candidate for this position will provide hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, including threat detection, incident response, and risk assessment while supporting IT help desk functions to improve response times and user satisfaction.  The IT Intern will also enhance our internal capacity to monitor and mitigate user-based risks, including phishing, account compromise, and access control issues.  This is a temporary, paid internship for a period up to four months. 

Requirements
  •  Assist in reviewing and responding to cybersecurity alerts and incidents. 
  • Participate in quarterly security audits and reporting processes.
  • Help analyze user behavior and access patterns to identify potential risks.
  • Support onboarding/offboarding workflows with a focus on secure provisioning.
  • Contribute to documentation and improvement of IT security policies and procedures.

 Job Qualifications: 

  • Student enrolled in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related fields.
  • Strong interest in cybersecurity, risk management, and IT operations.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, MFA, and basic networking concepts is preferred.

The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
